Meet Maria

Hi, I’m Maria (Noe) Frazier and I’m a multi-passionate creative and healing artist based in Corona, CA.I help creatives alchemize their trauma into their dharma with sustainable, embodied well-being practices like somatic experiencing, yoga, integrative health coaching, and design thinking.

With over a decade of experience as a yoga instructor and 5 years as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I have dedicated myself to guiding others through their transformative journeys of healing and personal growth. My practice is built on a trauma-informed foundation, ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment that respects each individual’s healing process.

My background as a professional singer and dancer enriches my approach, allowing me to incorporate a unique blend of creative expression and movement into my sessions. In my career, I have also held significant roles in well-being and professional development, including a six-year tenure at Snapchat, where I designed initiatives to enhance personal resilience and organizational health.

In my private practice, I intertwine the science of somatic experiencing, the spirit of yogic traditions, and personal development strategies, to provide women space to embrace a life of authenticity and freedom.

I'm also a mama to my daughter, Mia and my rescue pup, Indi. I love chai tea lattes with coconut milk, and have an intense draw toward wanderlust and travel.

What is Somatic Experiencing?

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a therapeutic technique developed by Dr. Peter Levine that focuses on resolving the physical and emotional effects of trauma through the body's inherent ability to heal itself. It is based on the observation that wild prey animals, though regularly threatened, are rarely traumatized. Unlike humans, these animals utilize innate mechanisms to regulate and discharge the high levels of energy arousal associated with defensive survival behaviors.

SE aims to help people tap into these natural rhythms to release trauma stored in the nervous system. By gradually exposing the individual to trauma-related sensations and emotions, SE teaches them to explore and release these sensations in a controlled and gradual way. The process involves tracking bodily sensations and encouraging the natural discharge of bound-up survival energy. This discharge allows the nervous system to return to a state of balance and individuals to move away from a trauma physiology.

The goal of SE is not only to alleviate symptoms but to fundamentally transform the person's approach to their body and trauma. It fosters enhanced resilience, greater vitality, and increased capacity for actively engaging in life.
